Ready! Steady?
4/18/10
Spring has arrived!
It comes as a surprise when it is finally spring. I am watching the changes with almost disbelieve, because winter seems so endless.
I have not been updating the blog very much lately for two reasons. First, I have been exploring Facebook. Secondly, I do not go for walks very often anymore since my husky died one and a half years ago, because I do not want the feel the sadness of missing her.
Glacier Park is something else; I have no dog memories here. So, there I was on this sunny, but a little windy Sunday morning looking also with disbelief on the wild crocuses. It seems impossible that these delicate looking spring flowers can survive night frost and snow storms we still might get.
Steady!
My life is connected with the seasons around Glacier National Park. With spring comes all the work, which need to be done before our tipi-camp opens next month. I also feel excitement and anticipation about the next summer season. I have a little video camera and want to make a film about our tipi-camp. Over the summer I will collect footage in order to create a film next autumn. This is going to be fun.
Go! is ahead
Late spring in May the first gallery customers start dropping in. Then also in May our tipi-camp opens and by the end of June the tourist season is well on its way. After North American Indian Days I feel like a marathon runner with the end of the endurance race still far ahead. Manage your power, so it will last the whole way until September, I always say to myself.
